An immersive installation from Zoë Laureen Palmer exploring rest, regeneration and interspecies collaboration

About

Are you looking for a moment of pause, of connection with nature during your busy day?

Artist, writer and human ecologist Zoë Laureen Palmer and sound artist Keir Vine invite you to experience their tiny urban sanctuary and find peace and tranquility within its embrace.

Stepping into biome: forrest, located within the Artsadmin Canteen - a warm and inviting public space run by Caffè Genco - you will find yourself surrounded by a diverse range of plants, mosses, micro-organisms and seeds. Draw the curtain behind you and make space for yourself to unwind. Put on a pair of headphones and allow yourself to be guided by Keir Vine's composition 'forrest visions'. Spend up to an hour absorbing and being absorbed by the forrest, and contribute to its ecosystem by misting the plants or offering up ailing houseplants for nourishment.

biome: forrest is part of biome: experiments in radical kinship, a year-long artistic residency exploring biodiversity in and around Toynbee Studios.
