Join us in celebrating the end of biome: experiments in radical kinship!

We will be celebrating the end of biome with a free-flowing day exploring our relationship with inner and outer gardens, biodiversity, rest and care in Mallon Gardens on Saturday 13 July.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in planting, tea tasting, working with seed and clay, conversation, sound, rest and sharing reflections on the residency.

biome: closing celebration is a free, drop-in event for residents of Aldgate, Whitechapel, Spitalfields and Tower Hamlets, taking place at the Artsadmin Canteen in Toynbee Studios. You can join at any point in the day for as long as you want.

Schedule

  • Gentle planting (11am-4pm)
  • Introduction to the biome and tea tasting (11am-12pm)
  • Working with botanical herbs (12-2pm)
  • Working with clay and seed (2-3pm)
  • Future seeds closing ritual, reflections and party (3-4pm)

Access

  • All toilets at Toynbee Studios are gender neutral
  • A relaxed performance kit with yoga mats, blankets, cushions and ear defenders is available
