About

Big Art for Little Artists is a dedicated children’s gallery within the Walker Art Gallery. It has been designed for children aged 0-5 years to enjoy with their grown-ups.

This colourful, interactive gallery hosts costumes, toys, books, games, paintings, sculptures, for children to explore. The space has a variety of areas for different interests, allowing our youngest visitors to learn through creative play and discovery. A firm favourite of Big Art is the craft table which has rotating themes each week so, children can get inspired and create their own artwork to display in the space or take home with them.
Entry is via a free ticket. These can be pre-booked online. 50% of tickets are also available on the day from the information desk.

Each session lasts 45 minutes and we ask that you arrive within 15 minutes of a session start time to ensure you have time to enjoy the activities on offer.
