Painter and photographer Kate Trafeli lives and works in North London out of studio space in The Chocolate Factory. She spent the previous ten years in Italy, developing her work and practice.
Themes underlying Kate's work include exploring how experience, personal history and emotion change us and expressing those moments in form and colour, as well as more esoteric ideas -- mirror matter, dark matter and 'wonderwalls': glimpses of different realities or worlds, expressed in abstract and semi-abstract fashion. Kate also delves into colour theory and practice in her work.
Kate will be at Skylark Galleries 2 for the Late Opening Reception from 7pm-10pm to welcome visitors, share some wine (she did live in Italy for a long time...) and talk about her work and process. All welcome.
The Late Opening Reception is in conjunction with the London Design Festival | OXO Tower Wharf and Designjunction Launch Night, featuring events all across London's South Bank.
