An exhibition of new paintings by abstract landscape artist, Henrietta Stuart.
About
“There is nothing more abstract than the visible world” Giorgio Morandi
The West Coasts of England and Scotland provide a constant source of inspiration for Henrietta’s work. The Scottish weather that changes dramatically from one moment to the next to the softer breezes and calm of the West Sussex coast, long walks with her dogs, boat trips to the islands and hours spent simply looking at the landscape all shape the work.
“I draw and paint, thinking constantly of the landscape I have seen, either directly or back in the studio using material gathered. I am fascinated by colour and form and light.”
Henrietta’s works are to be found in collections in New York, Houston, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Paris as well as the UK.
