Hinckley & District Museum is be teaming up with a variety of local venues, including the Atkins Building, to ‘go on tour’ with its ‘Beyond the Cottages’ programme to showcase local objects and stories at various locations outside the museum site to celebrate it's 25 year anniversary.

Sock making workshops for children aged 8 to 12 years led by artist and printmaker Mandeep Dhadialla of http://www.thelaughingcactus.com - all materials are supplied, and participants get a finished piece of work to take home with them. The workshop takes place from 2pm to 3:30pm costs £5. Booking is essential at hinckleymuseum@hotmail.co.uk
