In the Florentine location of A60 Contemporary Art Space, the chinese artist Lin Fangsuo shows on paper and video some digital works.
About
His position is significant, it is reflected in the thought that creates the different images which are set up in the exhibition. The digital register is a common denominator which, however, finds forms of different intensity: complex and dense stratifications appear on paper, as a writing, made up of signs, cerebral, deep writing, where images live almost like fragments. In some of the 6 digital works on paper, the images, chosen by the artist within a specific world that refer to examples and iconographies linked to the culture of the East, are still legible. They are the demonstration of a strong belonging, a history and a torn echo: the sign almost prey to a schizophrenic rhythm multiplies the traces giving rise to a complex, contaminated and distorted matter.
Stuck in this dimension in the apparent immobility of the support on which it lives (the paper) has in itself intense rhythms and impulses comparable to the video creations The waving heart and Human-Awakened reality.
Almost a sound, a secret music that flows between the torn signs and the matrices imprinted on the paper, bearers of a deep reflection and criticism of contemporaneity which, in its whirling movement is losing the spiritual and formal references linked to its own culture.
