Desta Gallery is pleased to announce "Beyond” a group exhibition of works by Donna McGinnis, Sheryl Daane Chestnut, and Mary Oros, on view from December 9, to January 24, 2020.
About
Donna McGinnis's abstract paintings are about exploration and refinement. She explores materials, artistic elements, and states of mind, including memories and dreams.
Sheryl Daane Chesnut, a mixed media artist, instead of focusing on the landscape as a whole, finds beauty in the details and random patterning in nature. She strives to create work that is ephemeral and evocative.
Mary Oros's large scale concrete sculptures are inspired by natural forms and how they transition into one another, and the way they move through space. Dance also inspires her work, the emotional expression as well as the choreographed form.
