Betwixt and between through the stillness of speed, Mark's images reveal a cosmic hidden world awash with fantastical characters in existence just beyond the focus of the photographic lens. Moving away from applied photography with an intention to produce more expressive and ambiguous imagery this series explores the limitations of static movement as it travels into the fourth dimension. From moment to moment these personas exist in limbo, a space of the obscure. The photographs imbue a presence that is strangely familiar and at the same time ever so slightly sinister.
