"Between The Living And The Dead"

This exhibition, through the media of printing, photography, painting, drawing and sculpture, is a take on the human condition from the perspectives of two artists.

Stuart Mitchell's preoccupations are with death and ritual, altered states, and the subconscious. His processes and resulting imagery, often in mixed media, have an almost alchemical quality.

Michael Hayter's work also deals with the subconscious, but focusses more on the issues of anxiety, violence, vulnerability, grief and sorrow: "I wish to expose and investigate the dark underbelly of humanity".

Both artists use imagery from religions, mythologies, the occult, as well as from contemporary life.

Both artists have exhibited in the UK, Europe and USA.
