A night of experimental song, art, performance and open mic

About

à Š“BERSONG is a celebratory one-night event that mixes together Berlin artist/DJ Maurus Gmür with Yvonne Buchheim's Song Archive Project to collaborate in a participatory song performance evening. The Song Archive Project is a video art collection of amateur singers, which will be presented with a musical accompaniment by Maurus Gmür. This collaborative art project will be interspersed by spontaneous live performances from the audience and invited artists. The concept of the event is to create full audience participation and interaction in a (p)arty atmosphere. This unique event will consist of live performances, video screenings, DJ set, happenings and open mic to explore the culture of song and human expression. Many national and international artists will be performing and maybe yourself… Come for an à Š“berparty! Featuring: Judith Aston (Bristol), Phil Babot (Cardiff), Yvonne Buchheim (Bristol), Paul Clarke (Bristol), Jason Coburn (Rotterdam), Lucienne Cole (Birmingham), Complaints Choir: Tellervo Kalleinen & Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen (Helsinki), Leo Devlin (Belfast), Maurus Gmür (Berlin), Paul Granjon (Cardiff), Mark Greenwood (Plymouth), Jesse Jones (Dublin), Ruth Jones (Pembrokeshire), Mariele Neudecker (Bristol), Sinead O'Donnell (Belfast), Hugh O'Donnell (Belfast), Phil Owen (Bristol) and many many more… Get in touch with us at info@formatnetwork.com if you'd like to perform on the night. à Š“BERSONG is an art project produced by FORMAT, Artist Discussion Network in Bristol with the support of Plan 9.
