For many years London Glassblowing has taken part in Bermondsey Street Festival, and we are thrilled to announce that London Glassblowing are returning to the beloved event this year!
About
There will still be an eclectic array of work to purchase by Peter Layton and his team, with generous discounts across all pieces exclusively for Bermondsey Street Festival.
After a hugely successful Yard Sale in May, this year will also mark the return of our popular Yard Sale for Bermondsey Street Festival. Located in our car park area on Carmarthen Place, found via the cobbled road that runs beside our gallery. There will be plenty of discounts and deals to be discovered!
Online release
For those of you that can’t make it or don’t feel comfortable visiting the festival there will be an online release of separate sale pieces on the 19 September – 25 September!
About our sale work
During the development of Peter’s work, many ‘test’ and ‘development’ pieces are produced on the path to creating a new series. Instead of sketching on paper, Peter ‘sketches’ on the blowing iron, straight onto glass. Some of these pieces are reserved for our sales. They are beautiful, unique pieces that might not fit the finished series pattern and therefore can’t be displayed in the gallery, but are waiting to be snapped up!
