About
The 24-hour opera-dance video work An eight-act opera compresses Benjamin Orlow's time in the army for a day. By displaying the day-to-day relationships, role-playing tasks, and lessons in potential war scenarios, the work explores contemporary forms of patriotism, individualism, and concepts in change about how nations and nationalism are defined in a global society. The opera form with dance and song allows us to re-contextualize the materials to a larger context.
The exhibition is part of the Stockholm Art Week program. 12/4 kl 15 - 13/4 kl 15 we arrange a 24 hour show with the opportunity to see the entire video work.
