Benjamin Davies, Solo Exhibition Starts Sunday 21st March until Saturday 27th March Born in Shrewsbury (Shropshire) in 1985, Davies showed an interest in drawing and painting with his life circulated around music, art and skateboarding in his teenage years. He spent alot of time doing all these three things which opened his eyes to expressionism. Having never had the confidence to go to university and study art Benjamin is self taught and at present exploring the possibilities of charcoal on paper to capture the feeling and mood of the situation. With a wide range of influences including Picasso, Dumas, Basquiat and Bacon, Davies approaches the moods and feelings of everyday life by using his fingers as much if not more than a brush.
