Solo Exhibition for Award-Winning Landscape Photographer Neil Barr
About
Scottish landscape photographer Neil Barr first picked up a digital camera in September 2014. With no prior training or experience in photography he quickly picked up awards and will now be hosting a solo exhibition at the Discovery Point Cafe & Gallery in Dundee.
After leaving his web design business of nearly 20 years due to ill health and stress, Neil took up landscape photography simply as a means to get out and about whilst he figured out what to do with the next chapter of his life.
Since then he has travelled over 30,000 miles around Scotland and taken over 60,000 shots in his quest to capture the Scottish landscape, learning as he went; Often camping out at the top of mountains for days, usually in atrocious weather, or standing in the pouring rain for hours waiting for that one brief moment that makes it all worthwhile.
In a very short period he quickly picked up national and international photography awards and secured a number of group and solo exhibitions as far ahead as 2018.
The exhibition will feature around 40 works and will run from July 16th to October 13th.
