In October you will be able to see an exciting new series of colourful work adoring the walls of our gallery by our latest guest Ben Hannavy Cousen. Ben's beautiful work can best be described as sculptural paintings, each intimately connected to the text which bears its name. Each painting is created on the basis of an individual system that has been developed to best convey an experience of the book. In effect, each of these paintings is a translation of the text which gives them a title.

"Reading involves a continuous and mysterious process of remembering and forgetting, and the impasto nature of these paintings can be seen as representing or illustrating this process".

We will be holding our usual launch evening with drinks on Thursday evening the 6th October between 5:30pm and 8:30pm and very much look forward to sharing a glass with you and Ben who will be delighted to tell you about his beautiful and intriguing work.
