Portland, Oregon-based artist Ben Buswell uses doubling, abstraction and repetitive mark-making to highlight the temporal nature of his incised photos and other sculptures.
About
Immediately following his solo installation/exhibition at The Art Gym, Upfor presents a reconfiguration of Ben Buswell's sculptural installation. Buswell, a sculptor whose work spans media from ceramics to incised photographs, uses processes such as doubling, abstraction and repetitive mark-making to highlight the temporal nature of the work. Buswell's Art Gym installation is possible in part due to the support of The Oregon Arts Commission, Ford Family Foundation and The Regional Arts and Culture Council.
