The desire to playfully rub the fantastical up against the everyday drives Flora Bradwell’s practice. Through appropriating snippets of history, assimilating visual traditions and collecting fragments of narrative Flora has populated an imagined world. This magpie approach to research is mirrored Flora's multi-faceted methods of communicating with her audience: through painting, installation, performance and film.
Bella Lordwarf was created as a liminal figure who straddled both the imaginary and the everyday, acting as translator for Flora Bradwell's playful fictions. However Bella has transcended that role becoming historian, goddess and pop diva, among other things. Bella Lordwarf has exhibited across the UK and internationally, exhibitions include #BYMYPAINTING, 2016, The Second Self Salon, Tan Like That, 2015 and The Cluen Dynasty Museum, Jacksons Lane, 2013. Her video work has screened at FAQIFF Bucharest, B.A.D Brussels, LSFF London, 2015 and Folkestone Triennial, 2014. Bella has performed at Miranda in 2016, TIAF 2015, Take Me Home Projects, 2015 and BAC, 2011.
