Chat with artists based at Spike Island, explore their studios and view works-in-progress during these informal encounters. Each artist gives a brief introduction to their practice followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Solveig Settemsdal

Solveig Settemsdal lives and works in London. She is currently studying for an MFA in Sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art, and studied BA Fine Art Painting and Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art (2007-2010).

She won the Jerwood Drawing Prize for her video work Singularity (2016). Select group exhibitions include: Høstutstillingen, Statens Kunstforening, Oslo, Norway (2014);Conversation Pieces, Test Space, Spike Island, Bristol (2015); Shadow Optics, Lubomirov/Angus-Hughes Gallery, London (2016); A Solid Above, Hardwick Gallery, Cheltenham (2016) and Drawing Biennial at Drawing Room, London (2017). Select solo exhibitions include: Epilelesthai, Test Space, Spike Island, Bristol (2015); and Parameter, Edwardian Cloakrooms, Bristol (2015).
