Chat with artists based at Spike Island, explore their studios and view works-in-progress at these informal encounters. Each artist gives a brief introduction to their practice followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
About
Harriet Bowman shares her recently shown and new work which takes the form of image, installation, text and video. Simon Olley talks about using found imagery to produce collages and videos that fragment and repeat to create new surfaces and meaning.
About Harriet Bowman:
Harriet Bowman graduated from UWE in 2013 with a BA(hons) in Fine Art. Recent exhibitions include; SPAR DASH; WEAR DARK GLASSES, The Island Bristol; Plymouth Contemporary Open, Plymouth College of Art; and A Wave Looks the Same from Above and Below, Lacuna Crux hosted by Home Platform. She was awarded the Young Artist Award at Plymouth Contemporary Open (2015).
