East Tyrol in Austria is rural in character and not yet overrun with tourists; it is still considered an 'insider tip' among Alpine connoisseurs.
It is a region where many stories are still waiting to be told.
As part of an artist-in-residence program, Dolomitenstadt magazine has invited a selection of talented graduates and photography students from the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin to spend a week in the district capital of Lienz in East Tyrol in August 2020.
With the help of the picture editors Nadja Köffler and Ann-Kristin Ziegler, seven very different photographic series have been created.
