AboutBehind the Eyes
A âtheatre in sound' community project inspired by Philip Ridley's play, âMercury Fur'
Director: Jessica Rae Drader
Composer: Jack James
In Mercury Fur, London is a lawless ravaged place where a group of young people struggle to hold onto their lives and to remember who they are and what they know.
Mercury Fur looks to a politically disenfranchised generation and offers them reasons to engage with questions of politics, ethics and society.
You are invited to an experimental showcase based on Mercury Fur incorporating live performance, visual art and documentary film that explores how this play affects and reflects the lives of young people in South East London.
A unique âtheatre in sound' adaptation of Ridley's Mercury Fur performed by aspiring young actors from in and around Peckham.
A new series of portraits by Philip Ridley examining the cast's shifting identities.
A documentary film by filmmaker Eva Marie Elg exploring responses to Mercury Fur.
