BEE BANTUG began using her camera deliberately as paintbrush! Racing after quick ephemeral movement of light, she shapes and composes painting-like abstracts, ever striving to push, blur, and bridge the edges between photography and painting.

About

A marketing creative and designer by profession, Bee Bantug continues to fuel her passion for visual aesthetics in its many expressions. Within this framework, she has been creating photographic images since the eighties, and colored pencil drawings since summer 2016.

An unexpected inner eye opening during her first summer hike in the Pacific Northwest where she moved to 4 years ago from the northeast launched Bee on a new phase of intense imagery creation – her photography becoming yet another dimension to a way of being, a virtual meditation practice transporting her to discover and unmask realities once well-hidden behind the veil.

She began using her camera deliberately as paintbrush!  Racing after quick ephemeral movement of light, she shapes and composes painting-like abstracts, ever striving to push, blur, and bridge the edges between photography and painting.  And, if you look at her images from varying distances –or with your inner eye– you might also catch glimpses of inter-dimensional beings at play in common everyday objects and the natural world around  that she photographs – each image a tribute and testimony to omnipresence and co-creation.
