About

Project “363” was born on January 3, 2017 and is the result of a reflection on the place where human beings stand before the landscape.

The challenge of Project “363” has been to explore through the photographic history of the author those images taken from 2003 to the present day, with the aim of identifying those small human figures who spontaneously placed themselves before her photographic gaze.

Project “363” aims to focus attention on the immensity of a landscape setting that leaves the human being in the background and that in turn draws an invisible line in the interaction between the landscape and the subject.

In this project the minimalist concept is essential so that the observer’s gaze allows him to capture that moment from the naturalness and simplicity of the image. The interpretation is not limited by a descriptive framework of the author, but can be free and particular.

In the image, the main element is the landscape in its global vision that is being discovered in small existential particles that form the connection of several stories.

From Project “363” a micro-project called “Be Water” is born, grows and reproduces, where the monochromatic atmosphere reinforces the symbiosis between water and the human being in its pure state. Be Water” aims to convey the intrinsic link between the different life cycles of people who resemble natural water cycles.

The scenarios selected to compose this project are urban and natural spaces. Many of the photographs are taken on trips and in other countries as well as in emblematic places in the city where Beatriz Alcalá lives, Barcelona.
