Celebrating the life and work of one of the best loved children's authors of the 20th century.

About

Realised through a major partnership between the V&A and the National Trust, the exhibition will celebrate the life and work of one of the best loved children’s authors of the 20th century. Using playful staging and immersive design, it will showcase original watercolours, drawings and manuscripts as well as personal artefacts including letters, photographs, furniture and decorative art. It will take visitors of all ages on a journey to discover Potter’s extraordinary and multifaceted life as a natural scientist, farmer and conservationist in the Lake District, bringing to light the places, people and animals that inspired some of Potter’s most beloved characters, from Jemima Puddle-duck to Benjamin Bunny and Peter Rabbit and inviting visitors to celebrate her legacy and impact in both literature and the natural sciences.
