About
Beate Gegenwart uses enamel on steel along with laser cutting, etching and 3-D printing for her sculptures.
The heat of the laser slightly deforms steel giving unexpected results. Her work focuses on questions relating to place, location and, by extension, dislocation and movement, especially the continuous movement of water.
