A multimedia event exploring gender, sexuality and physicality through art, performance and music.

In western contemporary societies bodies are owned by states. As citizens, individuals may have to enrol in the army corps and serve the states if theses ones decide to engage in war. Suicide is a taboo if not illegal, tied up to a christian moral rotting the whole culture background we are living in. Bodies are submissive to norms including cisgender, fashionable beauty, and other expressions of body fascism. Bodies can fit in the norm despite the identity hir/her/his owner would feel comfortable with, or it can be a place of opposition to the normativity. Bodies are battlefields. BATTLE is on the opposition side. This performance is an exploration of body re-appropriation through the experience of physical sensations and body modification. The title is based on the book "Mon corps set un champ de bataille", a compilation of writings on relationship between women, their bodies, its representation in western culture and the conflicts it creates. Performances: "Meow Mix" featuring Infant Pervert, Kazuyo and Marc Raphael Duplay aka Piercing United Kingdoms (Meathook Suspension) "BATTLE" featuring Iestyn Flye (http://www.the-absolute.co.uk/index.php?p=home) and AntoinexVx (http://rageandcompassion.tumblr.com/) Visual Artists: Neba Khodyer Meike Muenck Megan Pickering Jodie Mcintosh Jacey Murrihy Emma Bridgeman Emma Bagley Edward Alderwick AntoinexVx Live music: Nuclear Family (Berlin) http://www.tangelange.com/ Petra Flurr (Berlin) https://www.facebook.com/PetraFlurrOfficial Dj: Meerak Meinohg (Behind Bars/Antagony) [eklektik]
