Graffiti artist Barry McGee and his partner Clare Rojas' exhibition in Tokyo
About
In the late 80’s Barry McGee made his stunning debut to the art world as a star graffiti artist. Facing the 21st century, American society is in disarray and now a tense atmosphere lingers in cities all over the world. The exhibition released in Tokyo 2017 is titled “Big Sky Little Moon”. What kind of world would he be revealing to us? We exhibit Barry’s long life partner Clare Rojas’ artwork as well.
You’re gonna reclaim the city, you’re gonna upset everyone, people are gonna be crying wanting to do things the same. And a lot of amazing things are gonna happen aren’t they, don’t you think? This is such an amazing time right now. It’s a really incredible time.
(–Barry McGee, to a group of students, 2017)
