Barry Cawston’s ‘Are We There Yet?’ is the fourth in a series of exhibitions inspired by Banksy’s now world famous Dismaland ‘bemusement’ park at Tropicana (an abandoned Lido) Weston- super-Mare in 2015.
About
Since this body of work was made the political climate has dramatically changed, and the series has found a new language as a vision of Banksy’s Britain. The work was first exhibited at Tropicana exactly one year after Dismaland, followed by the Pithay in Bristol and now finds a new home in London.
Visitors are invited to bring their lunchtime sandwiches to have a ‘seaside’ picnic in the venue for the duration of the exhibition. Cawston is also installing a live feed from The Grand Pier in Weston, creating an immersive experience by bringing the beach to Bank.
