About
Czech contemporary artist Barbora Balek exhibits at Modern Panic, an annual exhibition of surreal, controversial and provocative art curated by Guerrilla Zoo founder James Elphick. The exhibition brings together over 70 visual artists and live art practitioners offering a commentary on our contemporary world and the darker reaches of human nature with works that shock, disturb and confront. From Nowhere To Nowhere, Balek´s kinetic installation of an imaginary race course where dictators Hitler, Mao Zedong, Stalin and Kim Jong-un, who manipulated the course of the past century impacting the lives of millions, now become pawns on the boards themselves, fits right in.
