From East to West, Through the Globe, Towards the Moon is the first major solo show dedicated to the practice of the Polish conceptual artist Barbara Kozłowska. The exhibition will be accompanied by a multipart public program of lectures, lunches, guided tours and co-organized film screenings throughout its duration. 

Working in the repressive and and conservative Poland of the late 1960s, Kozłowska’s works are easily recognized as institutional critique. Yet their nuanced aesthetic language are formative to the Light and Space Movement. Taking the form of performance and elusive spatial interventions, they were reasonably intended as poetic-humorous provocations of the institutes that surrounded her. The solo exhbition will comprised of documentation and restagings of original installations.
