We are delighted to announce the launch of the first ever Bangladeshi Artists Development Agency – BADA in the West Midlands. 

Taking place at the Rep Theatre, the cities world-class producing theatre on Sunday 26th November 2023. This will be a memorable evening of performance and celebration by Bangladeshi heritage artists for the city’s vibrant communities. 

We will be sharing BADA’s vision and an exciting programme of poetry, music, dance and exhibition by local Bangladeshi artists, showcasing for the first time at the Rep, followed by a showstopping performance by the fabulous Sohini Alam and her Khiyo.

BADA was conceived in January 2023 by Legacy West Midlands in partnership with local Bangladeshi artists and organisations, as well as established cultural organisations, to collectively support the growing Bangladeshi artist community and audiences.

This is an exciting time for Bangladeshi heritage artists and creatives, and we hope you will join us and be amongst the first to hear about our plans for the Bangla Week Festival in 2024.

Doors will open at 4pm beginning with family arts and crafts workshops and film screenings until 6pm, followed by live performances from 6-7pm and Sohini Alam & Khiyo from 7.15 - 8.15pm. Food and drinks will be available throughout the event.

Tickets costs £10.00 in advance and £15.00 at the door. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis so please ensure you book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
