About
'Back, Sack and Crack' is Burdis' exhibition of his compulsive, luminous cartoon-like drawings of fleshy, lumpy characters created from his daily observations and encounters and referencing the latest in men's hair removal procedures.Accompanying the exhibition is Burdis video of his performance 'Home', a poetic rambling infused with nostalgia, about the place of stability and happiness.
Burdis' art and experimental pop music bands have been a consistent part of the British performance scene for the last ten years, sometimes with Turner-prize-winning artist Mark Leckey, in the synth project 'DonAteller' and recently at Tate Modern's 'No Soul for Sale' anniversary celebrations.
