In 2013 artist and performer Babatunde Doherty produced a 7-track EP titled Hip-Hop, Post-Mortem. The seven compositions are the result of the artist aggressively manipulating some of the musical genre's most prominent voices to create new "zombie-fied" electronic soundscapes. In conjunction with the EP, Babatunde Doherty produced a series of collages, titled Rappensteins—two of which will be on view when the artist performs Hip-Hop Post-Mortem live as part of our current exhibition 'Out of Eye' curated by Tony Tremlett. The exhibition finishes Saturday 15 June.
