North London’s exciting new Muswell Hill Gallery welcomes self-taught rising star Azubuike, whose work possesses a smooth tonality that creates its own unique dialogue exposing his inner consciousness to viewers. His work has been featured in exhibitions globally, including France, USA and Nigeria.
About
Inspired by surrealist Salvador Dali as well as artists such as Lucien Freud and Antonio Gaudi, Azubuike is a firm believer that ‘art just flows between many different cultures’. Known for his wonderful paintings of African animals and people, Azubuike’s other side channels a more subconscious surreal vision of afro futurism.
“The mind can wander off into things and you can just get lost in your vision. There’s no rules and I just keep working until it evolves outwardly.”
As part of his artistic journey Azubuike is also working to raise awareness around saving Nigeria’s rain forest and its diverse endangered species. To this end, he donates a percentage of his artworks sales to support WildAid and Arise News
We look forward to seeing you at the Azubuike Ani ‘Our Sacred World’ Private View on Thursday 5pm-8pm and please RSVP to info@comeswapandshop.com
