‘Awakening' is a rare opportunity for art connoisseurs to view so many of Rodin's seminal works in one place. Where they are set against the contemporary work of one of Russia's leading artists Asya Feoktistova, illustrating how truly versatile the work is. ”¢â€˜Awakening', introduces an unprecedented collection of 50 iconic bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin. ”¢This collection of posthumous production works are cast from foundry plasters ”¢This is the first solo show in London of one of Russia's leading contemporary artists Asya Feoktistova Asya Feoktistova, one Russia's leading contemporary artists brings her unique style described as lyrical expressionism to this her first solo show in London. Her oils and graphic works monumental in scale and her colour combinations give her works extra visual depth, which are highlighted by her confident brushwork. As can be seen both in her portraits ‘Girl with Auburn Hair' and ‘Portrait of Aksel on the Red Chair' as well as her abstract still-life studies of ‘Love of Lemons and Other Fruit' and ‘Wet Irises'.
