About
Making art more accessible to all is the ethos. The purpose of the Autumn Open Exhibition is to showcase a truly diverse cross section of artistic talent, reflecting the variety and vitality of Norfolk’s creative community.
The Crowdfunded art gallery, set on a working farm in West Acre, has deep roots in the local community, and for a sleepy rural hamlet there is an energetic art scene. Its dynamic 2022 programme has included 15 exhibitions, several art fairs, wellness classes and creative workshops for both children and adults.
Nudging against a craft brewery, with a backdrop of ancient monastery ruins, the gallery is set within a thriving creative hub, with resident artists regularly welcoming the curious into their neighbouring studios and selling their wares in the airy gallery space.
This September’s showcase complements the gallery’s inaugural Spring Open Exhibition, which was held in April. Both exhibitions have been successful platforms for artists to sell individual works. They include a pop-up gift shop where you’ll find locally made crafts and art inspired gifts, cards and prints made with love by Norfolk artists and craftspeople. As always you can meet the artists in person through the event’s duration, as each takes up their post invigilating the event.
