Join prize winning artist Kate Shooter to explore the depths of your unconscious using drawing. A unique opportunity to uncover a new approach to making work, whilst gaining insight to the work within her latest body of work ‘Wicker Woman’ on show.
About
Book onto a morning or afternoon session in a day of workshops to explore the process of automatic drawing, both as a stimulus and tool to reveal resonant imagery. Limited to 6 places, Kate will introduce automatic drawing as the foundation of her practice, and passing on her understanding within a nurtured space.
"Daily non intentional drawing with charcoal has become the backbone of my studio practice. The lack of pressure associated with ‘not from life’ free association sketching, throws up marks and subconscious imagery that goes on to massively influence my painting. In these two informal workshops we can explore the automatic drawing process in an intimate and supportive ‘round the table’ session."
