Introducing a new and exciting exhibition of popular Dutch artist Auke de Vries, the Netherlands best know Sculptor in the sphere of public art. Three new pieces have been made specially for his exhibition at Bury Sulpture Centre with a preview 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Friday 5 February.

Internationally, Auke de Vries is the Netherland’s best known sculptor in the sphere of public art, with an international reputation for creating unique and intriguing pieces all over the world.
His works are proudly displayed as a key feature amongst host towns tourist attractions, enticing a considerable following of contemporary art enthusiasts to visit his creations each year. He has established an international reputation through exhibitions and numerous public commissions.
This February, continuing the model of connecting Bury’s internal gallery spaces with its public art, Bury Sculpture Centre presents an exhibition of Auke de Vries work. The exhibition includes approximately 25 works plus 20 framed drawings. Three new works have been made for the exhibition, including a maquette for his potential new public art commission at Burrs Country Park.
