An exhibition of paintings, sculptures, animation and collaborative work by Bordeaux artist Olivier Specio and Bristol artist Michael Hayter, in Bristol`s throbbing City Centre....
About
The exhibition is the culmination of a cultural exchange between Bristol and Bordeaux artists Michael Hayter (Bristol) and Olivier Specio (Bordeaux). Both are painters, although here they also venture into sculpture and animation.
Their work (most of it produced in ignorance of each other) has similarities both in subject matter and execution: namely the exploration of inner worlds and the close relationship between man and (animal) nature. Although often dark in subject matter, it is dealt with sensitively and often with humour. Activities are organised during the exhibition run: talks, gallery tours and workshops to complement and explore the subjects and methods contained within the exhibition.
