To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Asia House is holding its first ever Benefit Auction to raise funds for its ongoing programme of arts and cultural events.
About
The 25 plus lots that will go under the hammer have been generously donated by artists and galleries from across Asia, as well as those who have strong links with the region. Many of the artworks have been donated by artists who have exhibited at Asia House in the recent past.
The auction will commence online on paddle8.com on Tuesday 7 June. Artworks will be on display around Asia House from Tuesday 14 until Tuesday 21 June giving bidders chance to preview the work on sale. You can start bidding online from Tuesday 7 June on the Paddle8 website, by clicking here.
Auction highlights include Black Wash (1993), a lithograph on paper by the late Kim Lim; Epitheca Spinigera (2007), an ink drawing on drafting film by Hong Kong artist Angela Su; Sleep Walk Sleep Talk(2009), a light-box by Hong Kong artist Suki Chan; Memorandum (2 October 2014), a colour pencil and acrylic piece on wooden drawing board by award-winning Chinese painter Au Hoi Lam; Let Us Build and Launch A Blue Rocket To His Heaven (2009), an artist’s proof print by Hong Kong based contemporary artist Tsang Kin-Wah and Fire works-on paper (1993) by Japanese artist Mieko Meguro.
The Asia House Benefit Auction has been organised in association with online collecting destination Paddle8 and is supported by K Pak Ltd Fine Art Specialists.
