Co-organised by LASALLE College of the Arts and the Singapore Tourism Board, ARTWALK Little India is an annual multi-disciplinary public art project set in the cultural precinct of Little India. ARTWALK Little India 2019 is its 5th edition, themed Image and Sound of Fragrance.
Through visual artworks, film, music and performances by local artists and students, the history and traditions of Little India, as well as the cultural and personal stories of its long-term residents, will be brought to life through a multi-sensory art experience. This year's ARTWALK hosts an array of events, including live storytelling by Kamini Ramachandran, performances by Kathak guru Jyotika Joshi, an exhibition by various artists at UltraSuperNew Gallery, mural paintings and artworks by students of LASALLE. Besides the public artworks, the festival includes fringe activities, festival discounts, ticketed and unticketed experiences.
