ArtSway is proud to announce the return of their highly-popular annual Open exhibition. Each year the ArtSway Open brings together local, national and international artists, displaying the highest quality contemporary visual art in a wide range of media and covering a broad variety of themes. Applications are accepted from artists of all levels regardless as to the current standing of their career.
The Open aims to reflect current pluralistic practices and ideas present in the art world today. By discarding a standard set brief, ArtSway places no restrictions on content or media choice of submitted material and artists are encouraged to enter examples that best reflects their current practice and artistic direction. Each year ArtSway receives over 300 entries for the Open. The winner of the Open receives the award of a solo exhibition at ArtSway, with full curatorial, mentoring and marketing support up to, during, and after their exhibition.

Open Studios

To coincide with the opening of the ArtSway Open08, come and visit ArtSway's studio artists and talk to them about their work, or perhaps find a one-of-a-kind gift in time for Christmas. FREE, All Welcome.
Portfolio Day
Friday 16 January 2009, 10am - 4pm
Ten half-hour slots for artists from all backgrounds for critiques, portfolio reviews and career advice with ArtSway Director Mark Segal and Curator Peter Bonnell.
COST: £5 per person. Booking Essential.
Gallery Talk and Winner Announcement
Saturday 24 January 2009, 2pm
Join ArtSway Director Mark Segal and Curator Peter Bonnell for a tour of the exhibition and the all important winner announcement. FREE, All Welcome.
