To celebrate Artists' Union England gaining the Certificate of Independence the London branch of AUE is having a party at Open School East. All AUE members and non-members welcome!
About
The Certificate of Independence proves that AUE are independent of employers’ influence and that the Union operates democratically for and on behalf of its professional membership. The Certification enables us to be recognised by, and affiliate with, other trade unions and is a vital step forward in the effectiveness of AUE to represent it's membership. Gaining the Certification (which costs £4,500 + a ton of work) has been the result of voluntary work of the Exec, AUE members and with the generous support of other trade unions. It's a major achievement!
To celebrate we're putting on a get-it-hot vegan curry, some supa' cool DJs .. It'd be great to see you there.
Party 'til 11pm /// Performer Jonny Farr plus DJs Spacer Woman (Chooc Ly Tan) & Spooneatingrobot (David Henckel).
Curry 7-9pm ~ Thali style selection including dahl, aubergine madras, chapati, and roasted curried cauliflower.
Book tickets through eventbrite link, thanks.
The party follows a formal launch earlier in the day at the House of Commons (more info please email info@artistsunionengland.org.uk).
Party Qs
What about drinks? There will be a donation bar at the event.
How much are tickets? We're suggesting £3 donation towards catering costs but if you can't do that this month come anyway, enjoy it on us, no sweat - we'd like as many people as possible to celebrate with us.
