Lisa DiLillo, Eva Mueller, Mary Temple and Jo Yarrington, the artists of Heliotrope will present their works in the exhibition and discuss their process and conceptual development. Q & A to follow.
About
In James Joyce’s masterpiece, Finnegan’s Wake, the heliotrope is one of several key motifs in the book, symbolizing resurrection, rebirth, revolution, and enlightenment. As we move through winter into spring, Lisa DiLillo, Eva Mueller, Mary Temple, and Jo Yarrington will present new works that uniquely address the range of meanings, both physically and socially, that this metaphor inspires.
FLAT FILE ARTISTS
William Holton, Ellen Kozak, John Mendelsohn, Kevin Ryan
ODETTA's flat files are curated with each exhibition. Situated in the back of the gallery, tantalizing drawers, like treasure boxes, feature distinctive works of art, often created by the artist for this particular exhibition. Ellen Kozak has a feature of three paintings in addition to related pulp paintings and two limited edition books, in the files themselves.
