About

Throughout history, artists have been allowed, expected even, to push boundaries. Speakers: Richard Dedomenici, whose Fame Asylum helped alert people to the situation of young asylum seekers using the format of a reality show; Cai Yuan of Mad for Real, who challenged institutional boundaries by performing Jumping on Tracey Emin's Bed at Tate; Mark McGowan, whose Ballerina Pig Outside New Scotland Yard objected to the new law in the UK making it illegal to photograph the police. Chair: by Dr Martine Rouleau, lecturer at Goldsmiths and Birkbeck and organiser of the Pushing the Boundaries series.
