Join us for a conversation with Kristen Sanders & Gregory Volk, art writer and independent curator, at the gallery on Thursday, June 22 6-7:30pm.
About
Art writer and independent curator Gregory Volk will join Kristen Sanders for an exhibition walkthrough of "Protoself." Volk and Sanders will discuss Sanders' expansive approach to figures, from early humans to futuristic or animatronic anthropomorphs, as well as the artist's interest in the liminal moment of human consciousness and its perhaps unnecessary embodiment. We will conclude the conversation with prosecco.
