Join us for a virtual talk with Jasmine Baetz, the talented artist behind Blood in the fire, sugar in the milk, currently on view in the Igal & Diane Silber Vault Gallery.

About

Jasmine Baetz (she/her) is a ceramics teacher and artist, receiving a diploma in Fine Arts from Langara College in Vancouver, a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, and a MFA in Ceramics from the University of Colorado. Additionally, she has been the assistant Professor of Art at Coker University in Hartsville, South Carolina, and she is the current Lincoln Visiting Professor in Ceramics at Scripps College and Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, CA. For her unique methods at Scripps College, she was awarded with Hive faculty course grants for her courses “Clay and Fiber” and “Materials and Extraction.”

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session, where you’ll have the opportunity to pose your own burning questions to the artist.
