Join us for an Artist Talk with Iraqi Kurdish artist Hiwa K in conversation with The Power Plant's Head of Exhibitions & Publications Adelina Vlas.

In this talk Hiwa K and Adelina Vlas will explore their collaboration on our Summer 2022 exhibition, Do you remember what you are burning? on view at The Power Plant from 20 May until 28 August 2022.
As part of their discussion, which will include questions from the audience, Hiwa K and Adelina will talk about the important themes and motivations behind the Hiwa's works, which evokes political realities, oral histories, alternative teachings, and familial and personal memories inspired by his native homeland of Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan.
