About
Elinor Rowlands is a multi-disciplinary artist who identifies as Autistic and ADHD. Elinor is currently a Fine Art practice-based PhD candidate at NTU, supported by a bursary scholarship, and is affiliated with the Artistic Research Centre (ARC). Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in the contemporary fusion of sound art, innovative approaches to composition, language inspired by the neurodivergent lived experience, and live art, all framed within a strong political context and the concept of keen observation.
In her academic pursuits, Elinor delves into the exploration of how autistic stimming serves as a distinctive artistic methodology. This promises to be a fascinating and thought-provoking event where Elinor will share her unique insights and experiences in the world of art and neurodiversity.
